ABOUT THE ARTIST
Abra Kadab (dually known as The Artist Kubik) is a multifaceted artist living in and operating out of Los Angeles, CA. She is a recording artist, songwriter, composer, producer, actor, and educator. Her mission is to unapologetically highlight and mirror social injustices through her art, and to relay her perspective as a queer individual.
Abra Kadab has over 20 years of experience working within the music and film industries. She comes from a classical background and is proficient on drums, keyboards, and vocals.
KUBIK is the musical project founded in 2016 by Abra Kadab. Her dark and politically charged EP "World On Fire" debuted in 2018 and was released through eRecords. Her 2022 EP "The Empty Space" explores the profound void that all humanity seems to experience. In 2024 she released her third album "When the Light Goes Out the Darkness Comes." This album explores what happens when someone gives over to their darkest and most brutal impulses and shuts out the light. She released two singles, "Live From The Inferno" and "Wrath" during the summer of 2025. She is currently working on her fourth studio album KUBIK: Caravaggio which is slated for release in fall of 2026.
She has collaborated with industry legends such as Scarlet Rivera (Bob Dylan), Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd) and Rick Torres (Supreme Beings of Leisure) as well as Michael A. Levine (former Governor of the Emmy Awards/Hans Zimmer). She has worked as an art model for many years, and in 2016, she modeled for photographer/musician Jack Grisham (T.S.O.L). The photo was featured in multiple art galleries in downtown Los Angeles.
Her musical compositions outside of the KUBIK project include film scores, jingles for commercial television placement, experimental/noise tracks, audio/psychodramas, hard rock, and electronica. Horror, suspense, and comedy are her specialty genres when acting in and scoring films. She is currently signed with MPath Publishing and created an album for APM Music.

KUBIK - WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OUT THE DARKNESS COMES
"When the Light Goes Out the Darkness Comes” is about what happens when a person descends into utter darkness, abandoning all hope and all light. This descent could be the experience of one person, or a whole society. The album explores addiction as a form of idolatry and vices as a form of self ministry. It also explores Hollywood culture, narcissism and the nature of and will to power, fascism and Christian supremacy, obsession, self hatred, and disconnectedness.

KUBIK - THE EMPTY SPACE
"The Empty Space" is a concept album that explores the internal vacancy that the whole of humanity seems to experience. Are our feelings of emptiness an externalized expression of our collective biological natures, and are we all keenly aware of the profundity and depth of this void? This album navigates the ways in which we attempt to fill this gaping hole. The search for a God and that God's salvation, the search for true love to distract us from our singularity and loneliness, and the search for meaning where none ever existed apart from our own personal narratives and what we have assigned "meaning" to be, and on what terms.

KUBIK - WORLD ON FIRE
KUBIK's debut album "World On Fire” reflects extreme sociopolitical distress. This album deals with issues such as religious abuse, sexual assault, white supremacy, Christian supremacy, racism, American gun culture, homophobia, misogyny, and xenophobia. The concept of a world on fire is not a new one, but there are different ways of interpreting its meaning. It could be the “world” of one specific individual, or it could be the external world in which we all share a consensual reality.
